We are currently working in partnership with Worcestershire Community Foundation to provide food or other essential items for vulnerable families and individuals facing difficulties during the pandemic. The project will end on 31st March and application forms can be obtained from the office or by email from katewalton@pershorevolunteers.org.uk
I’ve been driving for the Volunteer Centre for 16 years and absolutely love it. As a driver you meet some really good characters and nice people. I’m helping them and they are helping me as I have to be doing something with my time otherwise I get restless and stressed out at home.
To everyone who worked and helped at last Sunday’s Christmas afternoon tea. Thank you very much. I really enjoyed myself. I spoke to people I had not seen for at least 30-40 years.
As a community organisation, we value the amazing range of skills offered by volunteers recruited through the Volunteer Centre’s bespoke service. Together they promote our ethos, support the wellbeing of our clients and muck-in at events!

The attached cheque is a gift from my late mother who so enjoyed the many years she was a member of the (previous) Wednesday lunch club. After my father died, it was a lifeline for her and enabled her to make many valued friends. She was so sad when her increasing immobility prevented her going there any longer and really missed it during the last year or so of her life. It was a pleasure to meet the volunteer recruitment team to talk through suitable opportunities. Together, we narrowed it down to roles offered by five organisations and I was given the chance to visit each before making a decision. This is a super service.
