I cannot thank you enough for making our trip such a lovely occasion and look forward to using your services again very soon.
The Volunteer Centre adviser was great, providing information about all of the possible opportunities she thought would match my interests. The referral process exceeded my expectations. I have taken on different roles and am still volunteering there. I wouldn’t go anywhere else now
Just wanted to thank you for putting me in touch with the Worcestershire Wildlife Trust. I’m loving it there.
To everyone who worked and helped at last Sunday’s Christmas afternoon tea. Thank you very much. I really enjoyed myself. I spoke to people I had not seen for at least 30-40 years.
We know what fantastic work you do within the community and if this donation helps that to continue we will all be delighted.
I’ve been driving for the Volunteer Centre for 16 years and absolutely love it. As a driver you meet some really good characters and nice people. I’m helping them and they are helping me as I have to be doing something with my time otherwise I get restless and stressed out at home.
The volunteer recruitment process exceeded my expectations and they found me a brilliant place to volunteer.
It was a pleasure to meet the volunteer recruitment team to talk through suitable opportunities. Together, we narrowed it down to roles offered by five organisations and I was given the chance to visit each before making a decision. This is a super service.
Dear Donna, I’m writing on behalf of the Bishampton Gardening Club to say a big thank you for hiring us the bus for our Open Gardens last Sunday. It makes a huge difference to have some transport and all the visitors who used it were very appreciative.
I was delighted to meet Annie your volunteer driver and we are very grateful to her for giving up a large part of the Sunday to drive the bus. Everyone I spoke to said she was so helpful and reliable. We were delighted with the number of people who visited the gardens on a very hot day! Although we don’t have all the final figures in yet we should be able to make generous donations to our charities. Once again many thanks for your help and we look forward to receiving your bill in due course.
I retired at 67 in December 2015 and was determined to keep active. I visited the Volunteer Centre at Pershore and they made me very welcome. In an interview, the advisor gained background info from me and offered eight written ‘job descriptions’ which helped me decide. I selected Age UK and their Home from Hospital Service.
This is for people just discharged after an operation who need help at home. They receive a weekly visit (two hours) for six weeks. The roles carried out could be shopping, cleaning, trips to outpatients/pharmacy etc. I received excellent training from Age UK and all my fuel paid. All in all, very rewarding and the Clients were genuinely very grateful. I have since taken on another volunteering role as a Trustee. I strongly recommend volunteering to get you out and about and active, in a worthwhile way.
